New Enterprise Consultancy, Edinburgh Business School’s local representative in Ghana, recently held a series of information sessions in the capital city of Accra, and also in Kumasi, Ghana’s second largest city between 14th July and mid-August 2013.

The sessions were well attended by participants from all walks of life including professionals from academia, accounting, banking, finance, insurance, and mining sectors amongst others.

Some information sessions were taken to prospective students in their work places upon their request as they were too busy to attend at the main venues; others were arranged to allow those unable to attend at the specified times to attend individually or in smaller groups at their own convenience. Most participants to the sessions were impressed with the added flexibility in the way the information sessions were delivered, which is perceived as a trademark of EBS programmes.

New Enterprise Consultancy also held an information session for participants, including prospective EBS students at a Heriot-Watt University Alumni Event hosted by Professor Kevin O’Gorman and Ms Michelle Beagan of SML at the Novotel in Accra on 31st July 2013 from 6pm to 9pm. Attendees include 23 prospective students, 16 current HWU/EBS students and 10 Alumni.

Speaking at the event the incoming EBS Ghana Ambassador, Mr Eric Nii Amaah Ashitey, addressed the audience and among others encouraged Alumni to regularly attend meetings so as to become excellent EBS Ambassadors in Ghana, and concluded by looking forward to the formal inauguration of the Ghana EBS Alumni Group to be announced soon.
